Where Art Meets Nature

Where Art Meets Nature Where Art Meets Nature

my wish is to create iconic aquatic sculptures, like the bubble, for all to see. I do this with the hope of inspiring and rekindling an understanding of a common sense of ...

Satoyama

a harmony between humanity and nature for both to thrive.

my ultimate wish is to create, with Gaudi-esque style, civic projects that bring health, inspiration, and wonder to the water, the people and the nature around them.

it starts with an idea.

feel free to contact me with yours.

thank you,

life in the bubble aquarium philosophy

life is happiest when the plants are happy

It really is all about the function of the Flora in creating a balance with the Fauna. Plants are the world's natural filter and they work so well in the aquariums I create (freshwater or salt). Aside from some simple gardening, I Just feed and add water. I rarely have to clean algae off the glass. Simplicity, to me at least, is the key to truth.'

The bubble. 2014

The first incarnation of the Bubble tank.  In this early attempt, given the shape of the tank and that I happened to luck upon some Hawaiian Puka Shell gravel, I decided to go with a very old school filtration method. The bubble had some nice successes and lessons to give, but in the end the maintenance was more burdensome than what i recall from so long ago.

I know why, but If you can guess the filtration method and why it doesn't work as well in this day and age, well, you will most certainly get a gold star from me.

design with the aquatic life in mind and creating art to hold the mind's eye in awe.

the way i see it

art is man's interpretation of nature.

I do hope, through my art, I can inspire a shift in the nature of man to give mother nature a chance of having a better interpretation of us.

thank you
